Overview

Join our team as a Senior Systems Integration Engineer and support a Department of Defense customer by integrating emerging hardware, software, and network technologies for special operations aviation. You will lead end-to-end integration of autonomy engines, sensor payloads, and communication systems on aircraft and in the lab, ensure every system is stable and test-ready.

Work Schedule and Location:


On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, standard business hours at MacDill AFB and nearby Tampa, FL offices. Travel to field and flight test events as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead physical and logical integration of hardware and software on aircraft, lab benches, and ground systems.
  • Develop and manage system interfaces, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Act as primary troubleshooter for issues that cross software, hardware, and network domains.
  • Configure complete systems so they meet entry criteria for formal test events.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, wiring diagrams, and configuration guides.
  • Partner with software, network, and test engineers to identify and mitigate integration risks.
  • Document integration work and contribute technical input to final test reports.

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Minimum 10 years of systems integration experience on DoD/SOF programs
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating complex hardware, software, and network systems on airborne or equivalent platforms
  • Hands-on experience with military electronics, sensor payloads, and computer systems
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex system-of-systems challenges
  • Experience reading and creating technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system architecture documentation

Desired: 

  • Hardware/software integration on special operations fixed-wing and unmanned aircraft
  • Strong understanding of SOF tactical communications and network infrastructure
  • Experience with government rapid-innovation cells, SOF common mission architectures, and government autonomy suites
