Overview

Join our team as a Senior Strategic Advisor and support the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), Industry & Analysis (I&A) unit by providing expert-level consultation to senior management on high-visibility initiatives. You will develop strategic solutions to complex organizational challenges, lead organizational assessments, and advise on program performance, ensuring mission-critical programs achieve their goals.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Herbert C. Hoover building in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation, advice, and recommendations to senior management and project teams
  • Develop strategic solutions to complex organizational, management, and business challenges
  • Conduct research and prepare complex business documents, including white papers, briefings, and strategic plans
  • Lead organizational assessments and align structures, processes, and performance measurement tools to agency goals
  • Deliver training, education, and exercise management in support of workforce development
  • Advise on program performance, evaluation metrics, and continuous improvement strategies
  • Serve as a senior advisor for high-visibility initiatives impacting mission-critical programs

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 20 years of specialized management experience
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, organizational design, and executive-level consulting

Desired: 

  • Direct experience advising senior federal executives on high-visibility, mission-critical initiatives
  • Experience with international trade, economic policy, or industry analysis
  • Doctorate-level credentials in a relevant field
