Senior Program Analyst

Overview

Join our team as a Senior Program Analyst and support the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), Industry & Analysis (I&A) unit by leading coordination across multiple program offices while delivering the full range of program analysis support. You will manage and validate program data, drive process innovation, and communicate policy recommendations directly to senior leadership, ensuring high-visibility initiatives stay on course.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Herbert C. Hoover building in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and consultative support across all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements analysis through implementation
  • Analyze budget, schedule, and program resources, and identify and mitigate risks and resource shortfalls
  • Lead the coordination of a critical program requiring collaboration across multiple units and offices
  • Manage and validate program data, ensuring data integrity and preparing materials for senior leadership review
  • Develop and manage new processes that create efficiencies and support innovation
  • Communicate policy, guidance, and recommendations effectively — orally and in writing — to client offices and senior leadership
  • Develop and present reports detailing findings, risks, and proposed solutions

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in program analysis and project support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience in federal programs
  • Demonstrated experience leading a cross-organizational program requiring coordination across multiple units/offices
  • Strong written/oral communication skills, including briefing policy or recommendations to client offices or senior leadership

Desired: 

  • Experience with program data management, quality control, and preparing materials for executive-level review
  • Strong track record of process improvement and innovation in a federal or large-organization setting
  • More than 4 years of relevant experience
