Sr. Videographer/Multimedia Specialist

Overview

FWI is building a team to support the Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS) NPS Extended Campus (NEC) and Office of University Communications (OUC). OUC is the official source of all NPS public communications and requires senior-level, expert video and multimedia capabilities to support academic, marketing, and public affairs missions. This position will bridge professional videography, multimedia production, and institutional storytelling to deliver compelling visual content across academic, military, commercial, and social media platforms. The Videographer/Multimedia Specialist – Senior will plan, film, edit, and produce high-quality video and audio products, ensuring NPS faculty, students, and programs are represented through modern, reliable, and impactful multimedia that elevates the NPS brand and supports effective learning.

Work Schedule and Location:


On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA

Responsibilities

  • Plan, film, edit, and produce videos for academic courses, marketing, and social media; capture b-roll footage
  • Post content to DVIDS
  • Develop audio materials and voice-overs
  • Maintain studio equipment and inventory
  • Provide classroom video-capture capabilities
  • Support OUC institutional videography

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • BA/BS degree in graphic design, visual communication, or relevant discipline.
  • 5 years of advanced graphic design/visual/multimedia communication experience.

Desired: 

  • Strong portfolio with advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with animation.
  • Experience with video production and editing software.
  • Understanding of photography composition and color correction. Strong project management skills.
