Overview

FWI is building a team to support the Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS) NPS Extended Campus (NEC) and Office of University Communications (OUC). NEC provides a broad range of academic support services for NPS graduate-level programs serving approximately 2,780 students across resident, distance learning, certificate, and non-degree programs. This position will serve as a senior-level administrative authority, bridging student services, logistics, and academic program management to deliver seamless support to NPS faculty, students, and staff. The Sr. Administrative Support Specialist will provide overall leadership for student application and enrollment processes, coordinate academic events and textbook logistics, manage student databases and reporting, and ensure the NPS academic community receives reliable, professional, and responsive administrative support that enables mission success.

Work Schedule and Location:


On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA

Responsibilities

  • Manage student application and enrollment processes
  • Serve as primary point of contact for prospective students
  • Track applications, coordinate textbook procurement and delivery
  • Support academic event planning
  • Manage student information databases
  • Generate analytics and reports for NPS leadership

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • BA/BS degree in program/project administration, logistics, management or relevant professional discipline.
  • 5 years of administrative student support in an institution of higher education

Desired: 

  • Experience working with student information systems, database management, student scheduling, and writing correspondence and reports.
  • Proven track record for being able to work independently with little to no oversight
