Overview

FWI is building a team to deliver professional and administrative support services for the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) in Washington, DC. As an Attorney, you will provide comprehensive legal support across your assigned CSOSA divisions — advising on government contracts, employment and labor law, ethics, FOIA, and Privacy Act matters, preparing and defending cases before EEOC, MSPB, FLRA, GAO, and Federal courts, all while protecting the agency's legal interests and ensuring compliance with applicable law.

Work Schedule and Location:


On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on CSOSA contracts and review/analyze current contracts for legal issues
  • Draft contract clauses, service level agreements, and other types of agreements
  • Provide the full gamut of legal services for litigation before EEOC, MSPB, FLRA, and State or Federal Courts
  • Perform pretrial preparation and case management
  • Develop and conduct annual and periodic ethics training; maintain, distribute, and collect financial disclosure reports
  • Advise on FOIA and Privacy Act interpretation, applicability, and compliance; draft opinions on complex FOIA questions

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active bar license (state, territory, or DC) — copy required upon request
  • Letter of Good Standing from applicable state bar association
  • Minimum 3 years practicing law in government or private sector
  • Experience in 2 or more of: government contracts, employment and labor law, FOIA, Privacy Act, Torts, Litigation, and Ethics
  • Prior litigation experience before MSPB, GAO, Court of Federal Claims, other administrative tribunals, and/or Federal District Court
  • Proficiency with complex internet and legal research databases
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
