Overview

FWI is building a team to support NOAA’s Office of Sustainable Fisheries in implementing Executive Order 14276, Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness. The Project Manager will lead the contractor team supporting NMFS Regional Offices and the Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Division, driving timely delivery of fisheries management actions under Magnuson-Stevens Act deadlines and ensuring coordinated, high-quality regulatory support across the full scope of the task order.

Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with occasional travel to the National Seafood Inspection Lab in Pascagoula, MS as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor contractor staff supporting Regional Office and Atl HMS fisheries management actions
  • Develop and execute project plans with schedules to fulfill Seafood EO requirements
  • Track Magnuson-Stevens Act statutory deadlines; prevent legal lapses due to missed dates
  • Coordinate with OSF, NMFS leadership, and Regional Office staff on policies and procedures
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose workflow adjustments; manage resource allocation across concurrent projects
  • Oversee Federal Register document accuracy, NEPA quality assurance, and recordkeeping compliance

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • 7+ years of project management experience in a federal contracting environment
  • Progress toward or completion of PMP or FAC-P/PM certification
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, competing demands, and high-performing teams
  • Experience working across regional/organizational boundaries in a remote environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with multiple staff levels
