Overview

FWI is building a team to deliver strategic communications and public affairs support for the Defense Health Agency and the Military Health System — telling the story of military medicine to service members, beneficiaries, and the American public. As the Program Manager, you will lead the full contract team across multiple projects and workstreams, driving strategy and execution while serving as the primary liaison between our team and Government leadership.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Work Schedule and Location:On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm at DHA Headquarters in Falls Church, VA.  Some telework may be permitted.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day contract operations across multiple projects, teams, and potentially multiple locations
  • Develop and execute communications strategies and tactics in coordination with Government leadership
  • Manage contract performance, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation from planning through completion
  • Serve as the single point of contact between the contract team and the Government for all contract matters
  • Supervise the full contract team, including task assignments, scheduling, and administrative requirements
  • Monitor and measure project results, set up processes, and drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinate staffing plans and ensure qualified personnel are in place to meet all contract requirements
  • Deliver written and oral communications at a level appropriate for senior Government audiences
  • Travel within the Continental United States to support conferences and meetings, estimated five trips per year

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Public Health, or a related discipline
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams delivering integrated communications solutions
  • Minimum 5 years of the 10+ years working with the Department of Defense
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and deploying milestones, deliverables, and resources across complex programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage and integrate communications efforts across a broad and diverse population

Desired:

  • Experience managing multi-project contract operations in a Government environment
  • Familiarity with DHA, Military Health System, or Health Affairs organizations
