FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Senior Copywriter will research industry-related topics, write original copy for ads and social platforms, and ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with client specifications.

Work Schedule and Location:

Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday,8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

• Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in the client's content, write original copy for ads and social platforms, prepare, and publish articles that promote the client's projects edit and fact check content generated by other departments
• Collaborate and work with other departments to optimize articles, images, charts, and other content as well as shape the tone used in emails, banners, brochures, and other outreach material
• Create and oversee report on content, get knowledgeable with client industry to be able to monitor the metrics related to the content and ensure the same is up to date
• Review & proofread final products to ensure the same is free from errors and reflects the client's specifications before submitting it

Required: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a closely related field
• 5+ years of experience in a related field
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and hands-on experience with content management systems
• Experience creating large piece content and smaller text content for traditional & social media platforms
• Advanced verbal and writing skills in both Spanish and English
