Overview

FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Account Director will serve as the lead point of contact for all client matters, managing relationships at a senior level and overseeing the overall management of communication services across traditional media, digital media, and public relations platforms.

Work Schedule and Location:


Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday,8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

  • Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to the account or client
  • Build and maintain a strong, long-lasting relationship to provide the utmost level of client service. Liaising with clients at a senior level on a day-to-day basis
  • Overseeing and assisting the Senior Account Executive with the overall management of the client account, as well as channel and prioritizing workflow between team members
  • Oversight of operational performance of the team ensuring all accounts objectives and specific schedules are met or exceeded within an agreed budget or any special project assigned by the client
  • Coordinate resources needed to service projects while providing the client with creative and strategic plans and ideas for executing the services
  • Manage marketing and leading ideas presentation for the client's projects, complying with timeframe and budget
  • Responsible for managing the work of the team members and performing a range of administrative functions
  • Assist with clients' portfolios and monitor their ongoing activities
  • Manage, review progress and deliver client projects
  • Conduct frequent meetings with the client and provide feedback on the status of their projects
  • Responsible for conducting a final review of any client's request to ensure it is free from errors and reflects the client's needs before delivering to the client's POC
  • Coordinate resources to comply with client's time sensitive requests

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Business Management or Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a related field
  • Strong industry network and contacts with senior journalists and members of the press
  • Knowledge of market research techniques, understanding of budgeting and reporting
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, negotiation, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Spanish and English
