The purpose of this position is to support payroll and travel functions for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). PBGC collects insurance from premiums from employers that sponsor insured pension plans, earns money from investments, and receives funds from pension plans it takes over. PBGC protects the retirement incomes of about 44 million American workers in more than 35,000 defined benefit pension plans.

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM ET at

Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) Payroll-Travel Office

445 12th Street, SW

Washington, DC | 20024

Responsibilities

  • General payroll system support, such as:
    • Granting access
    • Designating employee roles within system
    • Resetting passwords
    • Removing separated employees from system
  • Responding to requests for support/coaching with payroll systems
  • Developing and conducting classroom training
  • Clarifying questionable/incomplete payroll information
  • Notifying timekeeper/manager of necessary timecard adjustments
  • Maintaining payroll records

Qualifications

Required: 

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

 

Desired: 

  • Experience with web-based time and attendance program
  • Experience with time keeping and/or payroll software (Quicktime Time)
  • Experience with FPPS - Federal Personnel and Payroll System
  • Experience with Wamata
