Training Specialist - USCG

Overview

FWI is building a team to provide administrative, technical, and financial support services for the United States Coast Guard Directorate of International Affairs and Foreign Policy Advisor (DCO-I), including passport/visa processing, international military training coordination, and security cooperation program management. As a Senior Training Specialist you will manage international military student programs, coordinate Mobile Training Teams, develop Foreign Military Sales cases, and support security cooperation initiatives using classified DoD systems.

Work Schedule and Location:


On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

 

  • Complete all tasks outlined in the Quota Manager and MTB Liaison Officer Handbook
  • Support identification and management of resident training quota requirements
  • Submit annual "A" and "C" school international student requirements to FORCECOM
  • Enter and manage student data in Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS)
  • Coordinate with Regional Training Managers for quota allocation and Mobile Training Teams
  • Prepare weekly statistical reports on International Military Students (IMS) attendance
  • Develop annual training trend analysis reports covering 5-year periods
  • Manage OCONUS Mobile Training Team scheduling and execution
  • Support Foreign Military Sales case development including LOAs and amendments
  • Coordinate international student visits to USCG HQ
  • Ensure DHS IT Security Program Exception forms are submitted for IMS computer access
  • Assist with development of maritime capability development projects
  • Support Security Cooperation program reviews, conferences, and workshops

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in foreign assistance or security cooperation field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Title 10 and Title 22 Security Cooperation programs (FMS, FMF, INL, IMET)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with DoD and USCG student management systems (DSAMS, SAN)
  • Knowledge of USCG mission, objectives, training system, and courses
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Active Secret Clearance required 
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
