Overview

FWI is building a team to provide network and IT infrastructure architecture and engineering consulting services, technical writing, day-to-day operations, system engineering for program enhancements, training, and support of the Information Technology (IT) program at the U.S. Access Board. As a Systems Administrator, you will manage and maintain the hybrid on-premise and cloud infrastructure including VMware servers, Microsoft 365 environments, and Active Directory services supporting agency operations.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Work Schedule and Location:  


On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Washington, DC.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain USAB servers and printer server equipment
  • Administer Microsoft Office 365 E5 plan and all components
  • Manage Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID/Domain structures
  • Monitor and manage server operating systems, patches, and security
  • Perform data backup and recovery for critical systems
  • Support cloud-based virtualization environments
  • Manage Microsoft Teams with Voice Plan for up to 40 users
  • Track server operating system licenses and maintain standard configurations
  • Monitor security logs and respond to violations per defined procedures
  • Ensure virus detection on all servers
  • Coordinate configuration changes via CCB process
  • Document performance trends and recommend upgrades
  • Manage DNS services and trust relationships

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Minimum 5 years as mid-level and senior level Systems Administrator
  • Required Technical Experience:
    • Microsoft 365 platform administration
    • Cloud infrastructure systems (Azure)
    • Cloud servers management
    • Windows Server and Active Directory
    • Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Microsoft Purview Records Management
    • Enterprise backup/restore solutions
    • VMware vCenter
  • Experience with hybrid on-premise and cloud environments
