Overview

FWI is seeking IT Support Specialists to provide comprehensive IT support services in support of the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas. This position offers the opportunity to work with federal law enforcement while supporting critical technology infrastructure.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Work Schedule and Location:

 

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Brownsville, TX.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and problem resolution for computer systems, servers, and Local Area Networks (LANs)
  • Support distributed PC/networking environments including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting
  • Install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals
  • Configure operating systems and application software programs
  • Perform hardware and software diagnostics to resolve system problems
  • Coordinate repairs and resolve computer system issues, including LAN coordination
  • Provide help desk support via email, phone, or in person
  • Participate in system configuration and software evaluation

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Experience providing direct end-user support for applications, including telephone and on-site assistance
  • Hands-on familiarity with network, telecommunications, and operating systems environments
  • Expert user of government word processing, spreadsheet, and email systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Pleasant telephone manner
  • Must meet DOJ residency requirements (3 years in U.S. within last 5 years)
  • Must pass background investigation (Public Trust clearance)

 

Desired: 

  • Prior teaching/training experience with computer applications
  • Experience with database, imaging, or automated litigation support applications
  • Prior experience in automated litigation support
  • Experience with DOJ office automation environments
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Relevant certifications from software providers
