Overview

FedWriters is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead our team supporting the U.S. Access Board's IT infrastructure and operations. This role will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT services in accordance with a government contract, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within scope.

Work Schedule and Location:


Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Eastern) requiring some on-site presence at the Access Board's Washington DC location 

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall day-to-day management of the U.S. Access Board IT Support Services contract
  • Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and documentation
  • Manage technical and administrative personnel across multiple disciplines
  • Plan and execute projects requiring exploration of subject areas, problem definition, and development of cost-effective solutions
  • Schedule and assign work to team members and monitor progress
  • Ensure technical solutions and schedules are implemented within estimated timeframes
  • Serve as the primary interface with government representatives
  • Negotiate and make decisions on behalf of the company
  • Provide monthly reports on program status, risks, and financial performance
  • Coordinate with the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on contractual and business issues

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in mid-level and senior-level program management
  • Strong background in IT service delivery and technical operations
  • Experience managing cloud services, network operations, and IT infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience with government contracting and federal IT requirements
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud infrastructure
  • Familiarity with federal IT compliance requirements (FISMA, Section 508, etc.)
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience supporting federal government agencies
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks
