FedWriters is building a team to provide IT Architecture & Engineering Support for USSTRATCOM/J61's Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) IT engineering activities. As a Senior Virtualization Engineer, you will design, implement, and sustain hyper-converged Enterprise infrastructure solutions utilizing VMware Cloud Foundation and VDI technologies in support of critical nuclear command and control, cyber, electromagnetic spectrum, and missile defense mission areas.

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM at USSTRATCOM, Building 1000, Offutt AFB, NE.

• Design, implement, and sustain hyper-converged Enterprise infrastructure solutions
• Support VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform and associated technologies
• Work with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies including Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE
• Assist in the development of the USSTRATCOM C4-IT Roadmap
• Support technical solution reviews and change management processes
• Evaluate IT Service Management for assigned Knowledge Domain Areas
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Assist with project closeout evaluations and readiness reviews

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Senior-level specialized knowledge in designing, implementing, and sustaining hyper-converged Enterprise infrastructure
• Experience with current versions of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Experience with Omnissa Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies including Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE
• Active intermediate-level or higher certification such as VMware Certified Professional or equivalent from other virtualization vendors
• Minimum eight (8) years' experience as an IT Systems Engineer
• Minimum five (5) years' experience demonstrating written and oral communication skills
• Minimum one (1) year experience with DoD cybersecurity policies or equivalent commercial experience
