FedWriters is building a team to provide IT Architecture & Engineering Support for USSTRATCOM/J61's Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) IT engineering activities. As a Senior Enterprise Server Engineer, you will create, sustain, modernize, and integrate Enterprise-wide server architectures utilizing Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in support of critical nuclear command and control, cyber, electromagnetic spectrum, and missile defense mission areas.

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM at USSTRATCOM, Building 1000, Offutt AFB, NE.

• Create, sustain, modernize, and integrate Enterprise-wide server architectures
• Implement and support current automation technologies and techniques for deployment and sustainment to achieve IaaS & PaaS capabilities
• Configure and manage Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
• Implement and manage Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Identity and Access Management (IDAM), DNS integration, and MFA integration
• Support technical solution reviews, change boards, and Production Readiness Reviews
• Assist with review of IT test plans to ensure testing addresses all requirements
• Create and maintain supporting documentation including technical drawings and configuration management information
• Perform IT Service Management evaluations and recommend areas for improvement

• Active TS/SCI security clearance 
• Minimum eight (8) years' experience as an IT Systems Engineer
• Minimum five (5) years' experience demonstrating written and oral communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders
• Minimum one (1) year experience relevant to designing, deploying, and maintaining systems that comply with DoD cybersecurity policies or equivalent commercial experience
• Senior-level specialized knowledge in creating, sustaining, modernizing, and integrating Enterprise-wide server architectures
• Active intermediate or higher certification with Microsoft Server or Red Hat Linux
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or later and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 or later
• For Windows Server specialization: Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and Windows Server Update Service (WSUS)
• For RHEL specialization: Experience with Red Hat Satellite Server, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat Identity Manager
