FedWriters is building a team to provide IT Architecture & Engineering Support for USSTRATCOM/J61's Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) IT engineering activities. As a Senior-Level Network Engineer, you will design, implement, and sustain Enterprise network infrastructure solutions utilizing modern hardware and software-defined networking components in support of critical nuclear command and control, cyber, electromagnetic spectrum, and missile defense mission areas.

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM at USSTRATCOM, Building 1000, Offutt AFB, NE.

• Design, implement and sustain Enterprise network infrastructure solutions utilizing modern hardware and software-defined networking components
• Apply current automation technologies and techniques for deployment and sustainment including metrics and monitoring
• Support technical solution reviews, change boards, and Production Readiness Reviews
• Assist with review of IT test plans to ensure testing addresses all requirements
• Create and maintain supporting documentation including technical drawings and configuration management database information
• Perform IT Service Management evaluations and recommend areas for improvement
• Support the development of the USSTRATCOM C4-IT Roadmap

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Minimum eight (8) years' experience as an IT Systems Engineer
• Minimum five (5) years' experience demonstrating written and oral communication skills, including developing and presenting complex briefings to senior leaders
• Minimum one (1) year experience relevant to designing, deploying, and maintaining systems that comply with DoD cybersecurity policies or equivalent commercial experience
• Senior-level specialized knowledge with designing, implementing and sustaining Enterprise network infrastructure
• Active intermediate or higher Networking Vendor certification (CCNA, Juniper Junos Associate, etc.)
• Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM), load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, taps, and related networking technologies
