This position is responsible for designing and implementing the program’s MEL strategy. This includes developing MEL frameworks, tools, and systems, conducting evaluations, and ensuring that MEL data is used to inform program decisions and improve performance. The Director of MEL works closely with other directors to integrate MEL into all program activities and fosters a culture of continuous learning and adaptation through training and curriculum development focused on educating the local community leaders to drive and implement resilience.

Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm 

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the program’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) strategy.
  • Develop MEL frameworks, tools, and systems to track program progress and outcomes.
  • Conduct evaluations to assess program effectiveness and impact.
  • Ensure MEL data is analyzed and used to inform program decisions and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with other directors to integrate MEL into all program activities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, adaptation, and data-driven decision-making across the program.

Qualifications

Required: 

  •  The ability to obtain a public trust.
  • Work Experience: At least 10 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior MEL role on USAID-funded programs.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Skills: Expertise in MEL methodologies and tools, strong analytical and data management skills, excellent report writing skills, and ability to lead and manage a team.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Pay Range (Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors)

$ 110,000.00 - $ 133,000.00 /Yr.
