Overview

We are seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team supporting the National Science Foundation (NSF) staff and business owners. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and make a significant impact on NSF’s visual identity.

 

This is a remote, full time position that will require the employee to periodically report onsite in Washington, DC. Monday – Friday, normal business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and designing creative concepts for marketing campaigns, digital media, print materials, and branding projects
  • Collaborating with the marketing and content teams to create visually appealing graphics that align with the company's brand guidelines
  • Designing and producing promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, and email templates
  • Creating and editing visual content for the company website and other digital platforms
  • Ensuring all designs are consistent with the company’s branding and messaging standards
  • Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project deadlines
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and tools to continuously improve design processes and output
  • Providing input and recommendations for enhancing visual communications strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Ability to take creative direction and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience with web design is a plus
