This is a remote position that will not require the employee to relocate. Monday - Friday, normal business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and communicating with stakeholders, facilitating meetings, reporting on progress made, tracking project risks and issues, and giving executive briefings
  • Preparing and delivering ad hoc presentations and briefings as requested by the IRS
  • Tracking deliverable deadlines and ensure project staff meet them
  • Ensuring staff maintain a balanced workload, meeting quality assurance surveillance plan targets, and complying with the requirements of the performance work statement (PWS)
  • Communicating with the appropriate IRS officials to ensure they are happy with the performance of contract staff
  • Ensuring deliverables comply with the PWS requirements
  • Developing a project management plan (PMP) that includes sufficient time for completing tasks and obtaining approval from the Office of Management and Budget and other government approval authorities
  • Developing and giving presentations to the Correspondence Leadership Council and other stakeholders
  • Meeting with the IRS to discuss the results of tests, focus groups, and surveys
  • Managing, planning, supporting, and coordinating day‐to‐day project activities and requirements
  • Ensuring the accomplishment of project objectives within prescribed time frames
  • Collecting and analyzing performance metrics and identify ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the work being performed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, business management, business administration, or a similar field of study
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication, coordination, customer service, management, and leadership skills
  • Experience managing a staff of around 5–10 employees
  • Experience tracking project deliverables, risks, issues, finances, and expenditures
  • Experience communicating with business executives and/or federal government leadership, including giving presentations to such executives/leaders
  • Experience collaborating with others to effectively manage and administer a successful federal government program is desired
  • A Master's degree in public policy, public administration, business management, business administration, or a similar field of study is desired
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar federal civilian or contractor position is desired

USD $142,500.00/Yr.
