This is a remote position that will not require employees to relocate. Travel to networking events in the D.C. metro area will be required. Monday - Friday, normal working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and aiding in the analyzing, planning, research, and development of organization's objectives and strategic plans to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability
  • Developing plans to achieve growth and financial profitability via acquisitions, mergers, and/or divestitures
  • Overseeing and contributing to the development and research of building on company strengths, identifying potential new markets and business opportunities, increasing share of market, and obtaining a competitive position in the industry
  • Managing opportunities daily on portals for GWACS such as GSA MAS, OASIS, HCATS, eFAST, SEAPORTNXG, STARSIII and others) for new opportunities, market research, updates, amendments, or announcements
  • Managing RFI/RFP solicitations and agency forecasts, and maintaining an awareness of the competitive landscape
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining SharePoint based repositories
  • Leveraging available tools and publicly available information to qualify opportunities by conducting market analysis, competitive analysis, and win rate analysis for identified opportunities
  • Attending industry events and meeting with clients to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements
  • Disseminating data calls and organizing necessary proposal inputs
  • Developing call plans to promote FedWriters capabilities and identifying opportunities to generate on-contract growth
  • Serving as an opportunity lead for multiple pipeline pursuits by bringing insights, leading practices, and creative thinking to support overall business development efforts
  • Working directly with proposal team, communicating capture and proposal management strategy across proposal volumes/sections
  • Serving as the proposal effort capture subject matter expert (SME), fielding and responding to proposal team questions, etc. related to the proposal
  • Attending or supporting industry events including conferences, industry days, networking events

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience tracking or building a pipeline for Federal RFPs, RFQs, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience as a business development manager
  • Experience in a federal sales and analysis environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop proposal capture plans
  • Bachelor's degree is desired
